Fenerbahçe SK: The Fire of Kadıköy
Bring Fenerbahçe's iconic yellow and blue colors to your glass! Discover the layered cocktail that captures the energy of Kadıköy.
About the Cocktail
The Fire of Kadıköy brings Fenerbahçe's iconic colors to the glass with a layered structure, leaving a refreshing yet characterful impression on the palate. The contrast between the vibrancy of orange (Yellow) and the depth of Blue Curaçao (Navy Blue) symbolizes the high tension and desire for victory that comes with every match.
Mood
Energetic, Determined, and Victory-Focused. An ideal companion to build pre-match excitement or celebrate a glorious win.
Full Recipe
- 45 ml Vodka (For a smooth base)
- 20 ml Blue Curaçao (For the navy blue layer and orange aroma)
- 90 ml Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice (For the yellow layer)
- 15 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 10 ml Simple Syrup (For extra balance)
- Plenty of Crushed Ice
Garnish
A thin orange slice attached to the rim of the glass and a yellow cocktail cherry dropped inside. For extra match-day flair, you can add a touch of blue colored salt to the rim.
Preparation Steps
- Navy Blue Base: Pour the Blue Curaçao to the very bottom of the glass to create a solid navy blue foundation.
- Ice Layer: Fill the glass to the top with crushed ice. The ice will act as a barrier to prevent the layers from mixing too quickly.
- Yellow Mix: In a separate container, gently mix the vodka, orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup (if using a shaker, don't shake too hard to avoid foaming).
- Layering: Slowly pour the yellow mixture over the ice using the back of a bar spoon. Watch as the Yellow-Navy Blue spirit comes alive where the colors meet in the middle of the glass.
Bartender's Secret
The most important rule for keeping the layers from mixing is the difference in density. Blue Curaçao is heavier because of its sugar content, so it stays at the bottom. When pouring the yellow mixture, touch the back of the spoon to the very top of the ice and pour very slowly for a sharp, professional color separation.
