Full Recipe

• 60 ml (2 oz) Irish Whiskey (A tribute to the city's roots)
• 25 ml (0.85 oz) Fresh Lime Juice (Like a sharp defense)
• 20 ml (0.70 oz) Green Chartreuse (The heart of Celtic green)
• 15 ml (0.50 oz) Basil Syrup (Fresh basil aroma)
• 2 dashes Celery Bitters (For depth and character)

Garnish

Dried basil sprinkled on a fresh clover leaf or a thin slice of lime.

Preparation Steps

1. Prepare the Glass: Fill the glass you will be serving in (a Coupe or Nick & Nora glass is recommended) with ice and chill it beforehand.
2. Combine the Ingredients: Add Irish whiskey, Green Chartreuse, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker in that order.
3. Shake and Chill: Fill the shaker to the top with ice. Shake vigorously (Hard Shake) for about 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is fogged up.
4. Strain: Discard the ice from your serving glass. Strain the mixture into the glass using a double strainer to remove small ice chips and plant debris.
5. Garnish: Serve by elegantly placing a fresh clover leaf or a thin slice of lime on top.

Bartender's Secret

To capture that vibrant and bright shade of “Celtics Green,” when preparing the basil syrup, dip the leaves in boiling water and then immediately transfer them to ice water (using the blanching technique) to set the color. This will add not only freshness but also a dazzling brightness to your cocktail.
